Here’s a poem that unites all the December Celebrations: Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah.
A December Song
In the heart of December, the world aglow,
A tapestry of lights begins to show.
Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah too,
Each with a story, ancient and true.
Christmas whispers of a child’s birth,
A light divine brought to the Earth.
Hope and love in a manger lay,
Guiding hearts on the darkest day.
Kwanzaa sings of roots and pride,
A bond unbroken, deep and wide.
Unity, purpose, a joyful flame,
Honoring ancestors, calling their names.
Hanukkah’s menorah, a steadfast light,
Remembers miracles in the night.
Oil that burned beyond its span,
A triumph of faith in every land.
Each celebration, a thread of gold,
Weaving stories both new and old.
Though names may differ, the truth is one:
We’re all embraced beneath the sun.
For light is the promise, the path we tread,
Through winter’s chill, it warms and spreads.
A spark of hope, a sacred fire,
Lifting hearts, lifting spirits higher.
So let us gather, hand in hand,
Together as one, we firmly stand.
Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah too,
A shared light shines through me and you.
This December, may love abound,
In every corner, all around.
For in our unity, joy takes flight,
A world reborn in the season’s light.
